PRINCE2™ or PRINCE2 Agile™ Certification courses?

Where do you start? This is a common question. Both courses offer world wide certification and help you develop your skills and help your capabilities to be recognised.

The answer. Start with PRINCE2 then learn how to embrace Agile tools when they are the best to use during your project through the PRINCE2 Agile framework.

PRINCE2 is the most popular project management framework. If you will be managing projects using the PRINCE2 framework this is the must have certification. The latest version PRINCE2 7 was launched in September 2023.

PRINCE2 Agile is the next level of development if you are familiar with and have some experience of using PRINCE2. This course will not teach you the full PRINCE2 or the full array of Agile tools. What you will learn on a PRINCE2 Agile course is how and when you can use Agile tools on a project that is being controlled within a PRINCE2 framework.

Both certifications are highly thought of, the learning is very effective and we recommend that you gain PRINCE2 first.

Once you have a PRINCE2 certification, the PRINCE2 Agile course will make more sense and passing the exams (a guide to your understanding and level of learning) will be much easier.
Each certification has Foundation and Practitioner levels. The Foundation level covers all of the knowledge of the frameworks. The Practitioner level goes into more details of how you apply the knowledge. The Practitioner levels are mainly intended for those who will be career project managers or if you are managing a complex project. Team members and coordinators will benefit and be able to contribute well by understanding and completing the Foundation course.

We offer classroom courses in Auckland and Wellington for PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile as well as self paced online courses in both.

Both certifications are supported by 300 plus page handbooks. Pre course reading is a must.
