Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to join the MSP Foundation course or sit the Foundation exam.

You must have gained a valid MSP 5th Edition Foundation certificate within the last three years of the Practitioner exam date to gain your Practitioner certification.  

Note that there is pre-course reading and evening study during the course.

Foundation

The Foundation course is held over three days and includes the Foundation exam. You will learn how to successfully manage multiple projects and programmes.

Through this course, you will gain theoretical knowledge of how to plan, manage and deliver a programme from start to finish.

Practitioner

The Practitioner course is held over two days and includes the Practitioner exam. It has a workshop style to learn how to apply the techniques and rules. You will review the MSP integrated framework and navigate the principles, themes and processes. You will also learn how to analyse information and determine how the parts relate to one another and the MSP Framework.

This part of the course covers real-life scenarios and helps you build your skills in leading and managing a programme. MSP emphasises more flexibility, adaptability and responsiveness by adopting an incremental approach to the programme lifecycle, thus enabling organisational agility.   

About the Exam

Foundation Exam

• This exam is taken on Day 3
• 60 minutes
• Closed book
• Pass mark of 60% or above

 

Practitioner exam

• This exam is undertaken on Day 5. 
• 2 hours 30 minutes
• Open book using the official MSP manual only
• 70 questions
• Pass mark of 42 (60%) or above

You must hold the MSP 5th Edition Foundation certificate to sit the Practitioner exam.

• MSP Foundation and Practitioner - $4295 plus GST

• MSP Practitioner only - $2395 plus GST
