Prerequisites

Pre course reading is required.

There are no prerequisites for the PRINCE2 Foundation course.

You must have gained a valid PRINCE2 Foundation certificate within the last three years of the Practitioner exam date to gain your PRINCE2 7 Practitioner certification

Foundation

The PRINCE2 course focuses on five integrated elements (now including "people"), seven Principles, seven Practices and seven Processes of the PRINCE2 methodology and prepares you for the PRINCE2 examinations.

The course comprises comprehensive notes, classroom dialogue, and self-study to enhance your learning. Our courses use mock exam papers to familiarise you with the exam format and to help you develop relevant skills and to help you recall the knowledge.

Practitioner

The focus of the PRINCE2 Practitioner course is to understand the application of the learning gained during the Foundation course. This approach prepares you for the style of the Practitioner exam. Passing the PRINCE2 6th Edition or PRINCE2 7 Foundation exam is a prerequisite to sit the practitioner exam. 

About the Exam

Foundation Exam

The Foundation exam is held during the afternoon of day three.

• Multiple choice
• 60 questions
• 60% pass mark is required (36/60)
• 60 minutes duration
• Closed book

Practitioner Exam

The PRINCE2 Practitioner examination will take place on the second day of the Practitioner course (day 5 of the combined course). The questions in the Practitioner exam test your application of the knowledge you have learned. You must hold a PRINCE2 Foundation (6th Edition or 7) certificate to sit this exam.  

The exam consists of:

• Multiple choice questions based around a scenario 
• 70 questions, each worth one mark
• 42 marks are required to pass (out of 70 possible) - 60%
• 2 hours 30 minutes duration
• Open-book examination (only the PRINCE2 7 book is allowed)
